Under normal circumstances, the reducer that works continuously for a long time should be replaced with new oil according to the operating hours or once a year, and the reducer that has been deactivated for a long time should also be replaced with new oil and then re-run. The reducer should be added with the same brand of oil as the original reducer, not mixed with different brands of oil, allowed to mix the same brand and different viscosity of the oil.

2. When changing the oil, wait for the reducer to cool down and there is no danger of burning, but keep it warm, because after complete cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases and it is difficult to drain the oil. Note: Cut off the power supply of the transmission device to prevent accidental power-on.

3. During work, when it is found that the oil temperature rises above 80 or the oil pool temperature exceeds 80 and abnormal noise occurs, stop using it, check the cause, troubleshoot, and continue to work after replacing the lubricating oil.

Users should have reasonable use and maintenance rules and regulations, and carefully record the operation of the reducer and the problems found in the inspection. The above provisions shall be strictly enforced.

Desktop reducer: In order to improve efficiency, worm gear reducers generally use non-ferrous metals as worm gears and hard steel as worms. Because it is a sliding friction transmission, high heat will be generated during operation, resulting in a difference in thermal expansion between the parts and seals of the reducer, resulting in a gap on each mating surface. Due to the increase in temperature, the oil will become thinner. Easily cause leakage.

There are four main reasons: first, whether the material collocation is reasonable; second, the surface quality of the meshing friction surface; 3. the choice of lubricating oil and whether the amount of addition is correct; fourth, the assembly quality and the use environment.

1. Selection of lubricants and additives. Worm gear reducer generally uses# gear oil. For heavy-duty, frequent start-up, poor use of the environment of the reducer, can choose some lubricating oil additives, so that the reducer to stop running when the gear oil is still attached to the surface of the gear, forming a protective film to prevent metal in heavy load, low speed, high torque and direct contact when starting. The additive contains a sealing ring regulator and an anti-leakage agent, which can keep the sealing ring soft and elastic and effectively reduce the leakage of lubricating oil.

2. Establish lubrication maintenance system. The reducer can be maintained in accordance with the "five fixed" principle of lubrication work, so that each reducer can be checked regularly by the person in charge. When the temperature is found to be significantly higher, more than 40 or the oil temperature exceeds 80, the quality of the oil will decline, and more copper powder will be found in the oil, resulting in abnormal noise, etc. Must immediately stop using, timely maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of lubricating oil. Pay attention to the amount of oil when refueling to ensure that the reducer is well lubricated.
