How to choose the right gear reducer?

[Abstract]:
In the reducer series, the gear reducer is widely used in servo, stepping, DC and other transmission systems due to its small size, high transmission efficiency, wide deceleration range and high precision. Their role is to ensure the premise of precision transmission. Mainly used to reduce the speed and reduce the load / motor moment of inertia ratio. How to choose a gear reducer?

In the reducer series, the gear reducer is widely used in servo, stepping, DC and other transmission systems due to its small size, high transmission efficiency, wide deceleration range and high precision. Their role is to ensure the premise of precision transmission. Mainly used to reduce the speed and reduce the load / motor moment of inertia ratio. How to choose a gear reducer? 1. When selecting a gear reducer, multiply the rated torque of the servo motor you selected by the reduction ratio. The value obtained is in principle smaller than the rated output torque of a similar gear unit supplied from the product sample, and the drive motor is also considered. The actual required overload capacity and maximum working torque. The maximum working torque required is less than 2 times the rated output torque. After satisfying the above conditions, please select the smallest reducer. The smaller reducer is relatively low cost. If there is not enough Space allows the motor reducer to be connected in a straight line. You can also choose a corner reducer to turn the torque 90 degrees. 2. Consider the return gap of the gear reducer. The smaller the return clearance, the higher the accuracy and the higher the cost. The user should select the reducer that meets the accuracy requirements. 3. Also consider lateral/radial force and average life. The reducer with large lateral/radial force is very reliable in installation and use, and is not easy to cause problems. Usually its average life is far beyond the life of servo motor. After meeting the above specifications, you can select the gearbox for your motor based on the product catalogue provided by the company, on the mounting dimensions, shaft diameter and input flange. Finally, you must also consider the weight of the motor. A reducer is only allowed to match a motor that is less than a certain weight. The motor is too heavy. Long-term operation can damage the input flange of the reducer.
