The cause of the malfunction of the reducer due to the lubricating oil
1 improper use of lubricating oil
Different parts of the reducer have different requirements on the variety, viscosity and other properties of the lubricant. The choice of matching can reduce the frictional resistance between the internal contact surfaces of the lubricating oil, and the wear of the gear surface and the noise, vibration, etc. of the transmission will also be reduced. The improper lubrication effect will be greatly reduced, the dynamic pressure oil film will be easily broken, the surfaces of the gears will contact each other, the pressure will be concentrated, the gear surface will be seriously damaged, and even the equipment will be damaged .
2 improper amount of lubricant
During the high-speed operation of the reducer, the oil pool is stirred vigorously, and the lubricating oil is sprayed around the inside of the reducer. If the oil quantity of the lubricating oil is too much, oil leakage occurs at the shaft seal, the end cover, the joint surface, etc. due to a large accumulation of lubricating oil, increasing the running resistance of the rotating parts such as bearings and gears, the power consumption is increased, and the heat dissipation space is reduced. The high oil temperature and viscosity decrease make the oil film thin, destroying the normal lubrication state of the friction surface, and causing serious equipment wear.
If the oil quantity of the lubricating oil is too small, the gears, bearings and joint surfaces of the reducer will not be able to form sufficient oil, and the oil film will not form, and dry friction will occur, which will also cause serious wear of the equipment.
3 Lubricants have air, mechanical impurities and free water and other pollutants invading
When the reducer is working, the lubricating oil inside the machine is highly susceptible to mechanical impurities, water, air and other pollutants. For example, free water can cause the lubricating oil to produce acidic substances, corrode metal parts and aggravate wear. The presence of air in the oil can oxidize and degrade the oil, and even cause oxidative corrosion of the metal parts. The impurities reduce the cleanliness of the lubricating oil, deteriorate the oil quality, and lower the viscosity level, causing the jamming, malfunction, and even damage of the speed control system. .
